There are so many things that a Real Estate Professional must know to perform their duty. It is also important to know what not to do to prevent a claim. This course will provide basic knowledge of Errors & Omissions insurance, what to do when faced with a claim and information on how to manage risk to prevent claims.

a. Know the intent of E&O and a general understanding of what it does and doesn’t cover.
b. Define what a claim is and what action to take when faced with a claim.
c. Have a general understanding of typical claims.
d. How to implement risk management techniques to avoid claims.

Chad has been in the insurance industry for almost 25 years and has been with Pearl Insurance over 14 years; specializing in Real Estate Errors & Omissions and other related coverages. Chad has earned professional designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor, a Certified Risk Manager, and a Certified Programs Leader. Chad worked his way up the ranks from an Account Executive to a Vertical Account Specialist, became the Real Estate Sales Supervisor and then in 2023 he was named the Practice Group Leader for the Real Estate Vertical.

Emergency cancellations may be considered by the course provider and will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Oregon REALTORS® Live Courses & Online Courses Are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Oregon REALTORS® live and online courses are different products. Time spent in each cannot be transferred from one to the other or interchanged. All students should be advised that they are required to complete 100% of the Oregon REALTORS® course solely live in the classroom or 100% of the Oregon REALTORS® course solely online; if a student chooses to cancel from one mode to another, they must start the course again from the beginning. A cancellation must be approved by Oregon REALTORS®.
