Professional Experience:
Jason joined Vial Fotheringham in 2003 and currently represents homeowner and condominium associations in various types of litigation including construction defect, land use, architectural review, and rules enforcement.

Jason also provides general counsel relating to HOA governance, document amendment, turnover, and development issues.

Professional Involvement:
Jason served as a past President of CAI-Oregon (Community Associations Institute), and is a member of OWCAM, the Real Estate and Land Use and Litigation sections of the Oregon State Bar, and the Multnomah Bar Association. Jason also actively volunteers for the Lewis and Clark Law School Mentor Program.

Teachings and Publications:
Due to his committed involvement in groups advocating for homeowner associations, Jason has presented at numerous seminars, courses, and law forums on construction defects and general HOA matters at CAI, OWCAM, VF seminars, and many other organizations, including teaching Oregon Association of Realtor Courses on Common Interest Ownership. Jason is a regular Contributor to “Legal Eagles” Q&A for CAI, Oregon Community Bulletin, and is quoted extensively in the “Going to Pot” article in Common Ground Magazine article on HOAs and the legalization of marijuana.
