DescriptionLocationInstructorsCancellation Policy Discovering Commercial Real Estate is a 3 hour introductory course that offers a broad overview of the basics of commercial real estate and how it differs from residential real estate. Students will be able to distinguish and understand the broker's role and discover the different types of commercial properties, terms, valuation methods, marketing and resources for further education. While it will not equip an agent with the needed tools to practice commercial real estate, it will explain the business and introduce many of the resources needed to pursue a commercial transaction or a career in commercial real estate. This is an ideal introductory course for those who are newly licensed and/or residential agents who want to learn more about commercial real estate. Discovering Commercial Real Estate Learning Objectives: ï‚· The duties of professionals who assist in commercial transactions ï‚· The key differences between commercial and residential real estate ï‚· Types of commercial real estate (Office, Retail, Industrial and Land) ï‚· Types of commercial transactions ï‚· Commercial contracts ï‚· Resources that NAR's Commercial Department and its affiliates provide Webinar Webinar Curt Arthur After completing registration, all participants will receive an email from OAR providing webinar login instructions, CE directions, and handouts (if applicable). All OAR webinars are individual, meaning each participant who would like to receive CE from the webinar must purchase the webinar and view it completely. 50 minutes of seat time is required per 1 hour of education to receive CE for a webinar. Any participant who views the webinar for less than 50 minutes will not receive CE, no exceptions. By signing into the webinar with the same first and last name that you registered with, OAR will be able to verify your attendance and issue you a CE certificate. All participants who meet the mandatory seat-time requirement and paid for the webinar will be provided a CE certificate in their member profile up to one week after the date of the webinar. To receive a full refund, a cancellation request must be received via email (education@oregonrealtors.org) 48-hours prior to the start of any webinar. All cancellation requests received after the 48-hour time period will not be issued a refund. No refunds or credit given for no-shows.
